It has been no secret, I dont really play A3 Troy much at all these days, So by all means, people will probably tell me where to jump because im just a moaning b-hatch but i will give my feedback anyways
When server launched i nuked it to 200 and then started to look at the other things slowly being implemented into the game and just thought WTF
I wish that wasn't the case as it seems most of my boys are here but at the end of the day I love Astonia and this version despite having some really cool new features, just makes no sense to me at all mathematically.
I was playing about in Nightmare Pents last night on my lv200 seyan for the first time and again, despite me thinking this is a pretty cool concept, i just found myself getting more and more frustrated. what pissed me off back in the day, was that you decided to go the way of trying to make all of the classes "balanced" by
1) Restricting the max bases
2) Appears to be changing the way past the max Wis/int/agil/str work. ( just boosted my int to 202 and tried putting on another int slot thinking it would give more mods but apparently you dont get any extra mods past max base)
Allowing them to focus on all your new abilities but i just cannot find the logic in this.
So here I am on my 202 base Thapi seyan with the rest into Str (about 128 base) maxed in gear apart from about 12 imm mod, and up i go against a lv200 hell demon, Boom! its like being in a lv100 spawner attacking another 100 warrior, fight goes on and both people doing very little damage, then BOOM! demon casts what i believe to a Holy Light kinda animation, and suddenly im at 0% ms and 45% Hp..... from 1 hit.
Now i get its meant to be a Nightmare but this is 1v1 we talking about if i rock in and click a pent and spawn 3, im basically dead in a few seconds.
After talking it over while i stand there after dying for the 8th time and just giving up on trying to help damage stuff, Sadi asks me what my Arcane Protection is, at which point i reply something like 137 (my base + 80 from AK) and then he replies.... OH that's why its because you are being crit hit, you NEED to raise intuition for arcane protection.
I cant help but think what is the logic in losing the main reason that i believe (and I could be wrong here) people actually enjoy astonia in the first place? having a variety of builds. Would it not make more sense, to just give us "Protection/Power" points to spend, that you earn as you level up, so work out in general how many you have, and then just split them up, allocated across level gains. This way, people can allocate the points as they like and then swap the AK extra points with the enchants etc?
This just seems like a better option than, Oh your Arcane protection is weak bro, so please go ptm a different stat if you want to survive? and just have some mage npc dude, who will reset your allocation of points for a fee if you want to re-allocate because you think you have done it wrong.
My 2 cents on this madness
