As more and more people venture into trying to be Hardcore, and failing, it will lead to them getting very disheartened with the game.
Getting negs on a lv5, is nothing you can just kill skellies and drop them like flies, Getting negs while you are levelling in EU, is a pain in the ass but that being said, you could in theory use EU to remove the Negs it would just mean you are left a lower level after EU. Getting negs after that.... is pretty much, "Do I start over on a fresh alt? as it would probably be quicker than penting the negs off"
Current game Mechanics for Losing Negs
Level 50+ for Nomad plains.
Only available once every 24 Real life hours
Loss per WHOLE real life day - 10%....(suicidal mode)

it would be badass, if when you die and get Negs, you could venture into Valhalla. On top of this, you can only visit this place, when you have Negs, you cannot get there at any other time, you cannot gain normal experience from Valhalla, only the removal of Negative experience points.
Put a couple of badass looking Viking gods in there, each with a quest that needs to be completed, make them fairly sizable missions, I still believe negs should be a pain in the ass to get rid of, otherwise if negates the risk of being hardcore but I think people should not be forced to do the quest once a day. Have it so they can spam these missions in a row to actively work at removing negs, each time it drops it 10% eventually leaving them with an amount of negs they would just have to remove via normal levelling.

Spammable, no limit to how many times you can do it in a day.
Loss of negs per mission - keep 10%
It should be more of a Time sink, rather than a complete deterrent to playing your character.
Hardcore Death awards 250 Negs (I think it always shows as 249 because it takes away any un-used exp you currently have as you die)

and so on so on, you get the drift. So you spend more time, grinding missions, to get your negs down instead of logging off and waiting 24 hours to drop 10%.
On top of this, using this type of mission based method, will again cater to the different level players, if I do on my lv30 character, I am a lot more willing to stop doing Valhalla at say 50 Negs, if I do at lv100+ though however, Each neg is worth a crap load more exp, so I would spend more time in Valhalla, working off the negs, trying to get it down to say 10 negs instead of 50.
Players should be punished for dying on a Hardcore character but at the moment, I feel its very harsh!
As for the missions, enemies should be player level, so that a lv150 cant just waltz in and kill lv10s really fast to drop negs stupidly easy, it should be challenging to the players level.
