To whom it may concern,
As you may have seen, A3TROY features some new graphics. Some of these graphics (Wizard with the hat/fire snail) were created by a professional 3d graphics designer. This 3d artist, who goes by the name of 'Remos', has created amazing isometric game art for various titles (he mostly specializes in animated characters). Remos has indicated that he has some free time which he could use to do some work for Astonia, but his skills come at a price (a price which up till now I have been paying all by my lonesome ;p).
As you know, 'The Return of Yendor' is entirely free of charge (no donations, nothing) and I dont intend to change that. However, with some additional financing, I could hire Remos once again to expand the Astonia universe. So I would like to know if anyone would be interested in helping me finance new character models, and if so, how much would you be willing to pay? And what art new character models would you like to see in the game? Serious suggestions only please.
My thoughts so far:
- Archer (maybe even playable, as a warrior sub class);
- Sword/shield guy and/or pike guy (for in Exkordon/Forest castle);
- Extra castle walls;
- EU-area type walls/props (Sci-fi, could be used for 'CU - Act 2/ Act 3');
- Vampire? (more serious one than we have now).
The possibilities are (almost) limitless, as long as we have bring enough cash.
If I get alot of positive responses, I may set up a small crowdfunding round to see if we can finance some new graphics. Let me know what you think.
EDIT: To give you an idea: The green Wizard model cost around $150, the snail $50. A more detailed/animated model (like a large monster, or a shiny knight) would cost around $600+. In general, the more detail/animations, the higher the price.
