I would like to see quests or some way to get multiple companions. Maybe once you complete the companion quests, like Yadiros you can have him in addition to any of the others you haven't completed the series for? Maybe to balance this they could be preequipped except for the first one you select? Or we could have something like the fu guards that would level with you but are a few levels higher since they have trash equipment.
Lots of ways this could fall. I always loved fire underground because I loved having a small army with me.

I like this idea. Maybe it is only useable in Pents, or after level 40 or your companion can summon another. Lots of ways to play this.

Absolutely. I think it'll take some thought on how to do it but it has a ton of options

Its actually already possible, but I limited it to 1 companion because it would get really crowded in tight spaces. Not sure how to fix that.

We could increase it slowly. Start with 2, see how the player base feels about the crowdedness after like a month and go from there. 2 companions would also allow you a mage and warrior so people would be more equal options vs how it is now. Currently most players get the opposite of their class, so a mage gets a warrior and a warrior typically gets a mage.
How would equipment work with multiple? Could we just give each companion their own locker at their place of origin with 12 slots or whatever? How it is now if I went from the mage to the warrior companion I have to reorganize my locker or else they grab the wrong stuff.
We could make some minor design changes to Aston to widen the narrow walk ways to the profession guy and to the rds. I think exk and brannington are alright. The rest is mainly like quest based and that's just the nature of the game, some things may be better solo, others with as many companions as possible.
Later on we could even make quests where having more than one companion with you makes it way tougher than just doing it solo. Random stuff like that.

I just thought about when I had 4 guards because the fu guards were active and I didn't run into many spacing issues. I bet we could allow up to 4 and have the same result. Just add a name to the /drop so you can drop individually if you run into spacing issues. So /dropjames would drop James for example.
