Server
Skills and other character related stuff
- New powers/protections added to skill tab(not raisable).
- Added new spells/skills which cannot be raised. Works with ancient knowledge. Spell/skill list is worked on.
- The new powers/protections will grow based on your attributes (wias), and can be further boosted with new 'chants'/items.
- Warriors: Exp cost of skills matches seyans (i.e. 107 base/122 base cost same amount of exp)
- Warriors: Rage now adds raw speed and weapon value.
- max bases are now 202 for seyans (to balance seyans with other classes).
- warriors: endurance cost of warcry matches mana cost of magic shield (2 shield points per point of endurance).
- seyans: tactics now also mods bless.
- New spells, skills and item effects have been added. The new spells/skills/iten effects work with the powers/protections mentioned above. A sepparate topic on what the new spells are and what they do can be found on the forum.
- RWW keys are stackable.
- Orbs stackable. Clicking on an orb stack will take out +1 orbs from the stack. Stacks go up to +20.
- Clan spawn timer command has been added showing time to go per clan spawner level (say '/spawn' in game).
- Autostacking silver when mining. This allows you to conitnue mining as you find chunks of silver, without the need to manually put them in inventory.
- pathing: added an automated swap feature with animaton (friendly characters blocking each others path will automatically walk past each other).
- 10 new skill/spell keys (see below under 'client'). added for ancient magic/stances.
- Rebalancing 3.0 spells (more to come): The 3.0 spell 'freeze' has been altered: The regular 3.0 freeze spell now has a capped duration. The 3.0 uncapped duration mechanic of 'freeze' has moved to the new spell 'frost field' (static map effect placed by players which keeps targets frozen in area of effect).
Equipment
- Existing equipment enhanced (i.e. mad mages/zombie cape etc.), but is now flagged as quest item (though usable for welds).
- Added +7 single stat equipment merchants in aston.
- Ruby weapons now have 3 stat.
- Sewer rings now have 2 stat.
- Its possible to make 4 stat equipment (through welds/orbs). No level restrictions.
- added inscription mechanic to items: some items have (besides regular stats) inscriptions on them which give special abilities or effects (rightclick items to see if they have an inscription).
- new u unique item added: demon bane (Ice part 1), adds 65% dmg against demons, chance to stun demons and replenishes a bit of mana/end when killing a demon.
- new unique item: llenders hat: adds mindshield spell (any class).
- new unique item: warped boots (northern forest, castle sewers): teleportation/lab doors.
- new unique item: cloak of yendor (northern forest, castle sewers): morphs 4 stats based on your powers and protections (is limit
World related/quests
- Added new quest lines in various areas.
- Added a major questline (starts in Cameron) which explores the mysterious Astonian underworld(recommended level 6-10)
- New boss in exk. forest (imp quest). Drops good equipment.
- New boss in Exk. (part of quest). Reward: +5 imm unity
- new bosses in Ice Undg, pents (named demons), northern forest (castle sewers.
- Boss NPC at the end of carlos quest only accessible before lvl 37 (not accessible after reaching 37.).
- Certain NPC's can now become your companions and fight for you.
- Human/humanoid companions now use spare equipment from your stash (doesnt apply to FU-soldiers).
- Increased exp from regular quest (based on time/effort required to complete the quest).
- Earth underground now gives alot of exp.
- New area: 'Northern forest'. Accessible through brannington (near stone circle). Has new questlines, items, rewards and secret areas etc.
- Zombie skull drop rate increased.
- Golden skull gives alot of exp (if you get it before lvl 15).
- Continuity shrines can now be skipped (may be removed again in the future).
- New spell teaching NPC's: Moakin (Cameron), Thorodin (northern forest, inside the castle).
- pentagrams: you can do as many missions as you want and governor now gives all kinds of missions without the need for bribes (resetting missions has no negative consequences).
- Pentagrams: drop rates increased.
- Aston arena now has stronger NPC’s and daily rewards.
- Tunnels can now only be done 10 times each (=more exp/rank per try). Rank reward in tunnels now scales a bit with tunnel level.
- added a new quest in northern forest called: ‘Tomb of Emperor Seyan XI’ (aka Lab 6). Best before level 114. Gives acces to new spells and cloak of Yendor.
- endless tweaks in the pentagram ‘quest’. (Considerable increase in drop rates, increased exp for color combo’s and 9k gold cap at the moment).
- increased rewards in moonies/swamp/carlos/underground park.
PVP (player vs Player)
- Deaths resulting from clan feuds or PVP are 'arena deaths' (you dont lose anything).
- Raid catacombs are altered: can only raid clans if you set relation to feud.
- Feud PVP is not limited by levels.
- Playerkiller mode (type /playerkiller): Force PK has been introduced (see below). Force PK only works in mirrors 18+ in earth, fire, ice pents, RDs and ALWAYS works in mines/grimroot/Hell pents.
- Force PK: if a player sets pk on(types /playerkiller ), he/she can attack any other player (regardless of their PK status). After kill a player the PKer gets 'trapped' in PK mode for 24 hours (after that you can leave by typing /playerkiller again, or using a kindness shrine).
- Force PK: Normal players attacking a PK player will NOT get PK status (no 24 hr timers).
- Force PK: if a non-PKer dies to monsters/traps etc. within 10 seconds after getting attacked (spells also count) by a PKer, the non-PKer will also die an arena death (prevents abuse).
- CLAN JEWEL SHOP: Clans win clan jewels. Clan jewels can be traded for unique items at the clan clerk in the clan hall (only usable by clan leader). Say 'repeat' to the clerk to get a list of available item's.
- cooldown between raids: after raiding a clan, you cant attack that particular clan again for (currently) 2 hours.
Client
Graphics
- Added new character models.
- Client now includes ddraw.dll (allows to play full screen on newest operating systems).
- Added a new simple updater tool.
- Added 'stackable walls' feature (large buildings made from wall segments are now possible).
- New lighting/shading.
- New shadow mechanism for trees.
- New tree graphics.
- New 'netcode' mechanics which make the client/server respond much faster to player input.
Interface
- Added new button for the new ancient magic spells (hardcoded to 'Q', can be changed with the /set command: /set 11 <key>).
- Small interface bug fixes.
- 10 new spell keys added for a total of 20. All spell keys are labled 1 to 20 and use 1-9, q - p keys by default. Spell keys can be customized using the command /set <spell key lable> <desired key>.
