Staff should give a bonus for the light sacrifice. Maybe an additional 10 or 20 raw speed? Needs something to motivate the masses.

Is a bit lame, as I believe Staff isn't modded by Intuition, which you will deffo want to Ptm later on and I think Dagger is modded by it.

Staff is STR STR INT, Which makes sense as Staff is a 2 handed weapon. The WV should be a tad higher though, You should be able to hit harder as there is more motion + length + weight involved. You also lose the ability to have a torch which is a deal in early stages, so yeah that lack of light should reflect in something extra, like more damage on melee hits.

In theory, staff has its use ;p this is because certain effects remove parry capabilities from the victim (Time stopped, dazed, frozen solid targets come to mind).

Staff is modded by IAS unless there is something different in this version. Changing is to int/str/str could work, or possibly even IWS. I have no idea what Horo is talking about in terms of removing parry capabilities, is this another new unexplained mechanic?

Ya, a secondary effect of solid frz/timestop states is that that melee hit chance is nearly 100% versus the victim  |
